Civil War Days 2016 Reenactment

civil war photoOur Civil War event has grown to one of the best in the state! Over 500 re-enactors participate in this annual event. Relive History with President Lincoln, or General Thomas. There are live horses, booming cannons, and a spectacular battle scene! Come experience a piece of American History at our "battlefield." It's a weekend you won't want to miss!

10:00am     Tram rides up the hill begin.  Federal Dress Parade in camp.

10:30am     Military drills on the battlefield.

11:00am     17th Corp Medical begins Army inductee processing at medical camp.

11:45am     Story of the Union Generals at the presentation stage.

12:30pm     Mrs. Lincoln speaks about divided families at the presentation stage.

1:00pm       Medical Advances, then and now, at the medical tent.

1:15pm       The rise of the Generals at the presentation stage.

1:45pm       Troops assemble on the battlefield.

2:30pm        Battle

3:15pm        Mr. Lincoln addresses the crowd on the battlefield.

3:30pm        Medical scenario at the 17th Corps camp area.

4:15pm        Camps closed to the public.

11:15am      Medicine in the war at 17th Corps Medical Camp

1:15pm        Mrs. Lincoln remembers.  Her farewell address on the presentation stage.

1:45pm        Troops assemble on battlefield.

2:00pm        Preparation and explanation.  Insight on the battlefield.

2:30pm        Battle

3:15pm        Mr. Lincoln's farewell address on battlefield.

3:30pm       Medical Scenario at the 17th Corps Medical Tents.

4:15pm       Camps closed to the public.

 

* Be sure to arrive at least 1/2 hour early to walk up the hill to the Battlefield! Tickets are required for the battle (see below).

Dollinger's Family Pumpkin Farm Civil War ReenactmentAdmission

We charge a small entrance fee for the Battlefield Reenactment only. All other Civil War activities are free to the public. (We encourage online purchases by offering a discount of $1 off per ticket.)

  • Day of the Battle Price: $8 for adult (age 12 & older); $6 for child (age 11 & below). Prices are $1 off when purchased online.
